On October 30, 2024, at approximately 12:45 p.m., our Campus Security Administration received notification of a traffic stop by the local police on a street adjacent to the school’s main parking lot. During the stop, law enforcement identified a pickup truck that had been transporting multiple cases of 1.4 division ammunition. The truck was accompanied by a panel van and a passenger vehicle, both of which had pulled into the school’s parking area alongside the pickup truck.
Coordinated Action to Secure the Campus
Understanding the potential risks, our officer on duty coordinated with Operations Control to place the campus on a “Secure” status, ensuring all students and staff remained indoors and safe. In collaboration with law enforcement, we closely monitored the unloading of the ammunition from the truck onto the parking lot, facilitating a secure transfer of the materials from the truck to the van. Once the materials were safely contained, police had the truck towed, and the van and passenger vehicle departed the campus without further incident.
