One of our security officers, stationed at the Level 1 driveway area in a marked vehicle, observed a young male, who was a minor, ride his bicycle up the driveway and enter the parking garage. Despite making eye contact with our security officer, the individual continued into the garage. What followed was a clear attempt to evade security: the young man rode quickly up to the top floor, circling several times before darting past the officer’s vehicle and racing down through all the levels of the garage to exit the facility.
Although this individual did not dismount his bicycle or engage in any clear criminal activity, such incidents warrant thorough follow-up. As part of our standard operating procedure, our officer inspected each level of the garage afterward.
